USA Godzilla musts!

I think who ever directed CLOVERFIELD would be a perfect choice. Who cares if they are the same kind of movie. Most of the best Japanese Godzilla movies were directed by the same dude...

Okay Godzilla fans..especially you Gojirob. We know that a new USA GODZILLA movie is revving up. What is a must this time..and what is a must not???

Must have a Japanese director...

Must not have a non-Japanese director.

Uh...no. Being Japanese doesn't matter....having a good director who "gets it" is ALL that matters. I'm sure there's plenty of Japanese directors who think Godzilla is pure shit.

Anyway, a "must have" for me is a battle with another giant monster. Someone mentioned the Superman films and that's spot on. I don't want to see Superman going up against a real estate agent, just like I don't want to see Godzilla just knocking down some buildings.

I want a knock down, drag out between two giant monsters with lots of carnage. Carnage that will largely seemed to have not happened by the next movie except that people are really, really scared of him.
