URGENT! I need help!

I recently got the information that Geocities is shutting down.

As some of you may know, I have a website at Geocities, the Kes Website at: http://www.geocities.com/Hollywood/Park/1964/

Since I'm can't afford paying for an account due to the financial crisis caused by the US banks and due to currency problems with a constantly sinking currency in my home country, I have to find another FREE web host and I have to find it quick.

Since I have 9,2 MB.s to move, I can't create an account where I'm only allowed to have four pages with pictures of my cat, dog, hamster or vegetable garden. I need more than that to keep up the good standard of my website.

I need to find a serious host which can provide the same high standard as Geocities once did, or the Kes Website will have to close down for good.

I'm grateful for all tips and information I can get.

First: back up your site, if you haven't already.

Since it sounds like all you've got are some static pages, I can offer you some hosting space. All I'd ask in return is a linkback to my site. I won't foist any ads upon you.

Just PM me if you're interested.

The one I currently use is good. The only thing is they physically inspect your site before it's available for the masses, takes about 24 hours.

my sites in the signature, haven't done much, but there's no advertising other then what I put on there myself.

Problem solved! :techman:

The Kes Website has just been relocated to its new home at:

Thanks to all friendly posters who have showed their support and came up with good and constructive suggestions. :)

you can instead build up a blog with wordpress or blogsome..

you can create numerous pages with them and then store your pictures on photo bucket get the image link and start posting all of it on your blog...

Interesting idea!

But my site is rather large with a lot of pictures and a lot of text, about 9,2 MB. Is it possible to transform such an amount of pictures and information into a site meant for blogging?

Anyway, I'll keep it in mind for the future if I have to move the site again. As it is, I'm actually quite happy at 10MB. :)
