Upcoming Author Signing Events Thread

Dayton Ward, Kevin J. Anderson, and I will all be at WonderCon in Anaheim this weekend at Booth 167 selling and signing books. Come on by!

This weekend is C2E2 in Chicago, and both John Jackson Miller (@JJMiller) and myself will be in the Writers Block on the exhibit floor, along with a bunch of other nifty keeno folk. JJM will be at Table 2 and I will be at Table 9. Come see us! And buy all our books!

Just announced on Facebook and Instagram: I will be an author guest at Phoenix Fan Fusion, from Friday, May 24, 2024, through Sunday, May 26, 2024. This will be my first-ever visit to the state of Arizona, and I’m looking forward to it. More details about my schedule can be found here.

This coming weekend is HELIOsphere 2024 in Piscataway New Jersey. Two of the author guests are myself and veteran Trek screenwriter ("The Trouble with Tribbles," "BEM") and novelist (The Galactic Whirlpool, Encounter at Farpoint) David Gerrold. Among the programming items are me interviewing David Saturday at 11.30am.

My full schedule is here. I'll also have a table in the dealer room.

Thanks again for being so kind as to sign all my books - was great to see you.

Adam Nimoy has a number of readings publicizing his memoir The Most Human: Reconciling with my Father, Leonard Nimoy scheduled (saw them on his Instagram page). Not sure if this is considered Trek literature, but there is some discussion of his father's work in Star Trek.

This weekend (Friday, May 24–Sunday, May 26) I will be an author guest at Phoenix Fan Fusion in Phoenix, AZ.
My convention schedule (panels and signings) is available on my website here. If any of y'all happen to be in the area, buy a ticket and swing by the show to say hi, get some stuff signed, and listen to me yak on panels.

This coming weekend is the second Trek Long Island in Hauppauge, New York. Besides a huge list of actors from all ends of Trek, as well as cosplayers, performers, podcasters, and scientists, there are a mess of literary guests:
  • Christopher D. Abbott (Trek articles for ScreenRant)
  • Heather Antos (IDW Trek comics editor)
  • Derek Tyler Attico (The Autobiography of Benjamin Sisko)
  • Keith R.A. DeCandido (hey, that's me!)
  • Michael Jan Friedman (the Stargazer series)
  • David Gerrold ("The Trouble with Tribbles")
  • Glenn Greenberg (Star Trek: Untold Voyages)
  • Robert Greenberger (DC Trek comics editor)
  • Glenn Hauman (Creative Couplings)
  • J.G. Hertzler (The Left Hand of Destiny)
  • Adeena Mignogna (Star Trek Explorer)
  • Robb Pearlman (Fun with Kirk and Spock)
  • Sean Von Gorman (artist, multiple Trek comics)
  • JK Woodward (artist, multiple Trek comics)
This is a fantastic convention that I strongly recommend to all and sundry. Please come on by! I'm going to be debuting the eSpec Books reissue of my urban fantasy novel A Furnace Sealed (and pimping the crowdfund for Book 2, Feat of Clay), and will also have previews of the upcoming Sherlock Holmes: Cases by Candlelight Volume 3 by myself, Chistopher D. Abbott, Michael Jan Friedman, and Aaron Rosenberg. I'll also have copies of Tales of the Dominion War, "The Mission" And Other Stories, and the 8th and 9th issues of Star Trek Explorer for sale.

This weekend, I'm at Origins Game Fair in Columbus, Ohio. I'm in the Author Alcove, booth 1918, alongside fellow Trek scribes Kelli Fitzpatrick (Strange New Worlds) and Aaron Rosenberg (SCE: The Riddled Post), as well as Matt Forbeck, Jennifer Brozek, Mary Fan, Jenifer Purcell Rosenberg, Laura VanArendonk Baugh, Christopher J. Schmitz, Sarah Hans, Storm Humbert, Carlos Hernandez, C.S.E. Cooney, Jason Sanford, Daniel "Doc" Myers, Jeri "Red" Shepherd, Beth Cato, and Addie J. King.

I've got single copies of a handful of my Trek mass-market books for sale, as well as many copies of TNG: Q & A, Tales of the Dominion War, Star Trek Explorer #8, Star Trek Explorer #9, and Star Trek: "The Mission" and Other Stories. Oh, and also copies of Galloping Around the Cosmos, the collection of essays by people who grew up watching the original series.

If you're in central Pennsylvania, check out Horror on Main this weekend in Harrisburg! I'll have a table in the dealer room, and I'll also be doing a reading Friday at 7pm.

Also at the con will be Star Trek: Discovery's Doug Jones (who is the sweetest person in the universe).

So come on by!

Anyone signing at the LV Con in August?
As @David Mack said, Creation doesn't view authors as relevant or worth their time. One time, a couple of decades ago, they were forced by a studio (The Jim Henson Company) to invite an author (me) to one of their official conventions (for Farscape), and once I got there, they didn't give me any of the things I was promised, and tried to blame Henson for it. (Since I dealt with Henson on a regular basis, this wasn't even a very good lie........) I have not attended a Creation show since, and -- despite my involvement with both Supernatural and Star Trek -- have stuck by that.

There are many reasons why I would like to go to the Vegas con, but knowing I won't be particularly welcome there as a guest, and even if I am, I won't be treated like a guest, makes it really hard to scrape together the enthusiasm for going, especially since there are literally dozens of other shows that are more than happy to have me.

I will be a guest at Dragon Con 2024 over Labor Day weekend in downtown Atlanta. I'm doing a ton of panels, precisely none of which are on the Trek Track. I have no idea why this is so, you'd have to ask the track directors.

In any case, you can find my full schedule here on my blog. I'm doing lots of cool stuff! Just nothing Trek related......

Other Trek folk who will be there include fellow word-slingers Kevin J. Anderson, Esther M. Friesner, Dan Jolley, Terry Matalas, John Jackson Miller, and Thom Zahler; actors Kirk Acevedo, Santiago Cabrera, Ashlei Sharpe Chestnut, Christina Chong, Eugene Cordero, John deLancie, Jonathan Frakes, Bruce Horak, Michelle Hurd, Walter Koenig, Gates McFadden, Anson Mount, Melissa Navia, Tawny Newsome, Babs Olusanmokun, Ethan Peck, Brent Spiner, Aaron Stanford, Todd Stashwick, Fred Tatasciore, and Garrett Wang; artists Tim Bradstreet and John Picacio; and scientist Dr. Erin Macdonald.
