Upcoming Author Signing Events Thread

Events where I'll have STRANGE NEW WORLDS: THE HIGH COUNTRY for signing are beginning to be announced:

Feb 24-25 in Detroit, MI: Great Lakes Comic Con
Mar. 24-26 in Richmond, VA: GalaxyCon Richmond
July 27-30 in Raleigh, NC: GalaxyCon Raleigh

Quite a few more to come, I'll update as they're announced.

Updating. The STRANGE NEW WORLDS - THE HIGH COUNTRY book release event is at the Barnes & Noble location in Madison, Wis. — the huge West Towne store, on Mineral Point Road. That's at 7 p.m. on Feb. 21. I'll be doing a talk and a signing. After that:

• I'm at Great Lakes Comic-Con in Detroit, Feb. 24-25 — we'll have the book there.

• I'm at Emerald City Comic Con in Seattle, all four days, March 2-5. I have a table in the Authors Block; panels there, too.

• Later in March, I'm at Galaxy Con Richmond in Richmond, VA. That's March 24-26.

More to come!

This coming weekend (10-12 February) is Farpoint 2023 at the Hunt Valley Inn in Cockeysville, Maryland (just north of Baltimore).

  • Carlos Alazraqui (Admiral Buenamigo on Lower Decks)
  • Rigel Ailur (Strange New Worlds anthologies)

There'll be a ton of other guests, too. They haven't posted the full schedule yet, but it should be on the site soon.

Two anthologies with contributions from many of the above-listed scribes will be released at the con, also: Thrilling Adventure Yarns 2022 and Phenomenons: Season of Darkness.

Hope to see folks there!

From Deep Space Nine, Voyager, Enterprise, and Lower Decks: J.G. Hertzler

In addition, they've got makeup artist Michael Westmore, composer Alan Howarth, visual effects artist Doug Drexler, and historian Bonnie Moss, plus several other authors who write about popular culture.

Hope to see folks there! I'm hoping to have copies of Star Trek Explorer #7 (which will have a short story by me in it, my first Trek fiction in ages) to sell and sign.....

I'm at Galaxy Con in Richmond later this week, set up in the main hall and also appearing on panels — and then I am at C2E2 in Chicago, signing at Table 1 in the Writer's Block and speaking on multiple panels.

The full C2E2 schedule is here — and I'd like to note that Sunday morning there I'm doing a "Science of Star Trek" panel with Dr. Don Lincoln of Fermilab, who advised me on some of the science in THE HIGH COUNTRY.

I mentioned this before, but this coming weekend (the 20th and 21st of May) is the inaugural Trek Long Island convention at the Hyatt Regency Long Island in Hauppauge, New York. I wish I could make it. (I say that every year.) I had a great time that one time I went back in 2003, I think.

This year just wasn’t in the cards, what with having to drive one of my younguns out to Houston the following week (and then me be back to work again as a teacher the beginning of August).

Next year!
