Unmade episodes

Just seen this article, which runs through 10 episodes of Trek that never got made. I'd heard of some of these already, such as "Visit to a Small Planet", and the JFK one (which Red Dwarf later did and proved it was a horrible idea). Some of them sound intriguing, like no.6 - "Homecoming", where the Demon Blood Voyager doesn't disintegrate, but makes it back to Earth before the real Voyager, and they start... killing people? I don't remember the Demon Blood replicas ever being evil or hostile...

Any on there you'd like to have seen? Or know of any even more peculiar unmade episodes?

Did Fuller suggest the Demon Blood episode? I remember an article I read many years ago where he said he proposed an episode where the Kazon were being taken over by the Conspiracy Aliens. It was too late in the series to do anything with the Kazon, though I doubt they would have done it anyway.

A show where the entire episode takes place inside of Quark's bar sound like the most doable.

The JFK one went as far as Spock being the shooter, as I recall.

4-6 sound fine to me, and 10 would have been interesting in some senses (though hard to pull off well).

I'm reading The 50 Year Mission at the moment, and there were some truly awful movie ideas.

4, 5, 6, and 8 would have been good. 10 may or may not have been a disaster, but I'd have loved to find out.

I can't remember what I was watching when I heard about it, but I'm pretty sure one of the writers from TNG/VOY/DS9/ENT talked about doing an episode where the crew would go down to the "A Piece of the Action" planet to find the planet populated with TOS look-a-likes, who modeled their gangster society after starfleet's visit with Kirk and Spock...

Shame that one never got made

I think that was one of the ideas lobbed about for DS9's anniversary ep before they settled on Tribbles. Not sure though.

Is that the one where Sisko, Dax, O'Brien, and Bashir are waiting around for a table the whole time, but then only get their name called just after they leave? Admiral Cartwright, er, Sisko's father makes an appearance.

That idea was also mentioned in the "Worlds of the Federation" book in 1989.

It's easy to do a scifi show that takes place all inside the same room. All you need is some plot device magic to prevent anyone from leaving.
