His love life is pretty tragic.

Kim gets it on with Seven of Nine at one point, doesn't he?

Yes. They are stranded on a planet together and Kim tells 7 a charming story about warriors and loyal ants and she swoons into his arms.

Got it. No it is. (He gets a chance but turns it down, I think I remember now.)

Screwing up a shot with Seven of Nine does admittedly make him a contender for top spot. But I'm still going with Barclay.

It's not that Harry is Unluckiest in Love. Regarding his Seven of Nine fiasco, he's the Stupidest in Love.

It's unfair when some characters get more than their fair share of love interests. They get it thrown at them almost.

Riker is one. Every type of alien, Once a season at least.

Kim had probably the hottest Trek character offer him upfront sex (and possibly a relationship) and totally dropped the ball. Even though he initiated the whole thing.

If Garret Wang was writing that scene though, I think it would turned out much different lol

Geordi had a couple of victories, but they made it a point to make him unluckiest. Even Data snagged Tasha. The one Geordi had a crush on.

Is not scoring a date the only criteria for being unlucky? It's seems to me that Crusher and Troi scored a bunch of losers for the most part. Maybe Jack Crusher was a man of substance, and eventually Troi gets Riker, but those romances occurred mostly off screen.

. . .If Garret Wang was writing that scene though, I think it would turned out much different lol. . .

Garrett said he was eagerly reading the scene when he first saw the script, then threw it against the wall in dismay/disbelief/disgust that Harry was such a bonehead. Then after it aired, he couldn't go anywhere without people saying, "What were you thinking? You missed out!"

I don't know the name of that episode, I don't know even what the story was about.

I do remember that Seven is pretty new aboard the ship, Harry is hitting on her, she's wearing the skin tight cat suit, and she says 'ok, take off your clothes'.

And he fumbles and stutters and leaves.

I think everybody knows that scene

It's "Revulsion", which is the one with the psychotic holo-janitor (Leland Orser) who threatens B'Elanna and the EMH.

Probably Harry Kim

I never really understood why Geordi had so many problems with the ladies, he's a very attractive man

I agree - Geordi is nice.

Maybe that's just the problem. He's too nice.
Also I wouldn't be surprised if him being blind from birth shaped his personality and left him feeling isolated form other people. That would explain his difficulties in forming relationships with people.

I'd have to say Geordi. He has a terrible streak with the ladies, despite being an attractive man.

As for Kim, I never cared about him so wasn't all that interested in his cheating heart.

For DS9 it's a tie between Jake and Quark. Jake had the dabo girl for a while, but he was just a kid, and his dad made sure nothing happened before she left. Did he ever have a real girlfriend after that? It seems he was more interested in his father's love life than his own.

Quark, on the other hand, had all the sex he could want, but as far as actual love goes he never really got it: he obviously never got over his various past loves, and even the short romances during the show never went anywhere. He didn't even stay with Grilka.

Not to mention that VISOR has got to have some affect on him. He doesn't see the ladies the way they are "meant to" be seen. He probably scared a lot off when he was young by telling them how they were pretty: "The way your gums refract microwaves is really very beautiful." :guffaw:

It has to be Geordi. So hopeless IRL he fell in love with a hologram, and then let the real Leia find out about it.:ack:

I do feel bad for him! Those are two of my favorite TNG episodes!

The final episode hints that they eventually got together. Although those evens do not happen in the future I can still hope they get together.

Poor Geordi.

Not just Leah Brahms, Tasha Yar... But one other thing is when he talks about his trip to Risa ("The Mind's Eye" ) and that "special" thing that happened as Troi had put it. But thing is it never happend because it was implanted by the Romulans.

Wasn't Kim just being a gentleman - not taking advantage of an innocent?
Come on guys - you'd have the same sort of decency in his situation - wouldn't you? ;)

Geordi may have been unlucky in love but at least he didn't get glowy space herpes like Kim did. Nor did Geordi get beaten up by women who wanted to extract his nut juice with a device that looked like a garlic crusher, try it on with a racer shuttle pilot who turned out to be a terrorist, date a woman who was an alien zombie or marry his best friends DAUGHTER in an alternate time line. Kim also fell for the wrong Delaney Sister if i remember correctly, oh and the Klingon woman who ended up getting it on with Neelix.

I vote Kim

It depends what you mean by unluckiest in love. If you mean useless or unfortunate.
If you mean unfortunate its Kirk. Just about every girl he was interested in well died.

If its totally hopeless:
TOS - Scott
TNG - Barclay
DS9 - ?
VOY - EMH - I just think Kim has had some successes
ENT - Reed
Julian is a DS9 candidate. He had a hopeless crush on Jadzia and got shot down pretty fast. The next time we saw him in any serious kind of relationship, Garak was flirting with him, then he was getting "divorced"/whatever that breakup ritual was with Leeta, and then suddenly finding out that Ezri was in love with him.

Poor Chapel :weep:

That was rather excruciating to watch.

And what was she missing that those other blondes Zarabeth and Leila had anyway?! Oh right, sci fi woowoo.
Chapel lacked dignity.

Probably Harry Kim

LeVar Burton is attractive. Geordi... not so much, with that hair clip over his eyes.

O'Brien - he ended up with that shrew Keiko. That is unlucky.
It would have been fun for Julian to be involved in a triangle with O'Brien and Garak. There's some rather steamy Garak/Bashir slashfic out there...

Kirk.. every woman he falls in love with dies.
Or goes mad. Or leaves him. Or tries to kill him. Or all three at once.

I think Harry was just really intimidated by Seven. He never stopped to think what would come next if she said "yes" or, unimaginably, made the first move.

He still had a girlfriend in the AQ (something Geordi never managed), whilst going through all of that. He never did send her a "Dear John" letter in the subspace mail. But then again he'd have to man up to do something like that, and he always seemed a bit of a wuss to me.
