And the "4/1/2014" date on the corner of the video window didn't mean anything to you?

I worked with a guy who believed that the hoverboards in BACK TO THE FUTURE II were real, even though I showed him the visible wires and compositing artifacts on Laserdisc—to say nothing of the fact that such technology would remake many aspects of our world. "It only works on toys," was his counter argument.

Lots of people believe lightsabers are real, too.

Would you be interested in some prime beach front property I'm selling in Florida? I also have title to a very popular bridge in New York.

Joking that you've beach-front property for sale in a place where such property could exist invalidates the joke. I'll be happy to explain this to you after I put my boot up your ass.

As part of an April Fools' prank, the University of Michigan School of Engineering posted a video to the school website, showcasing a cloaking paint in the midst of development.

Obviously a joke. Not that a cloaking system could be developed . . . but that it could be done at UM! :)

I kid, I kid
