Universes collide - Kirk meets Kirk

I think it's just you. I mean, really, what can we really tell from a couple of snapshots?

I actually hope I'm wrong, though I've added up a few things in the pics that I was once told to watch out for by someone who evaluated such things at meetings and job interviews (sometimes a picture is worth a thousand words) - mind you, that was over a few beers, so I guess the "grain of salt" rule applies.

P.S. There's enough of the Shat's profile visible in the audience shot to get a pretty good read on his facial expression, regardless of the thoughts behind it.

Pine looks like he's in the middle of saying something, to me. It's just a candid snapshot, we don't really have any context or anything, so we can't really judge what the guys were thinking there.

Having seen it, I'm glad he's not in this one but I wouldn't mind seeing him in a future one. Leonard was enough for this one. Anyway, that's for naother thread ;)

What do we call a group of 'Kirks'? A 'Khan' of Kirks?

How about a "gaggle of Kirks".

Joby: I'll bet real money that you don't look any better at his age. He is 78 after all.

If I live to 78 I intend to spend my last years eating whatever I damn well please whenever I please. Possibly take up cigars again as well.

I've been saving this for years...

Stop overanalyzing and sucking whatever fun there is out of things that don't need it people....

A fair enough call mate.

Forget swine flu, I may have caught one of the worst bugs in trek fandom - guess it's my longstanding loyalty to ShatKirk getting the better of me.

It's a shame JJ couldn't find a place in the movie for him, but let's face it, the appearance of ShatKirk aged considerably past his death scene in Trek VII would be pretty contrived at best.

My sympathy is probably misplaced. I wonder if anyone else at that table will be hosting their own gala charity event during a career renaissance when they're pushing eighty. I'm willing to bet that the most signifigant aspect of trek for the Shat was as a means to pay the horse bills.

Having seen and liked the movie, I can honestly say that I hope to God that Shat doesn't show up in the next one.

Just because they did it with Nimoy does not mean that they have to do it with him too.

oh, and guess who's watching the exchange from the sidelines?

JJ :D

(look closely, he's there, watching the two say hello -- kinda neat)

Yes and I think that's Orci watching too next to him. You can see him right before the video ends:)
