Universe after DSC

AFAIR, the MU does not have the same location of at least one star versus the PU.. Does that mean the writers are not assuming MWI versus a Tegmark Multiverse? Looking to use this thread to develop a talk for a Trek con.

Yeah, whatcha talkin' 'bout, Willis?

MWI can encompass any selection of constants or stellar configuration. It depends when the "branch" occurred. Tegmark's cosmos includes MWI as well as other multiverse theories.

Why is this in Science and Technology?
Beats me. I guess the OP thought only contributors here would be able to disentangle his question. I assume DSC stands for Discovery and not Distinguished Service Cross. I've given up on Discovery more or less. I just can't find the energy or patience to watch the MU episodes. Maybe in another reality I'm watching and enjoying them.

I thought that the discussion involved real world physics (mis) used by the writers. Where would it go if moved?
