They should have used those uniforms in GEN

I always hated the "jumpsuits" they used in GEN, VOY and DS9.


Then again, I've never been a big fan of Starfleet uniforms.

I liked the TOS movie-era red uniforms. I also have liked most of the TNG/DS9/VOY-era uniforms, except for the white dress jackets. Those, I thought, looked stupid.

You do realize that the white dress jackets from the later movies are the closest to real world military Mess Dress uniforms, right?

They look like waiter's jackets?

According to a story Walter Koenig told, he was doing appearances at Movie Gallery stores in the mid-80s in full TWOK-era uniform, and while he was waiting outside the hotel one day for the car to take him to his appearance, another hotel guest mistook his costume for a bellhop's uniform and tried to get him to carry her bags.
