Unforgettable

Quite a good one.

I like the premise of a species that you forget and i also like the questions posed about love and how it can happen or not happen based on certain factors. The idea that the two same people can be attracted/fall in love in one circumstance but not another is quite an interesting one. I think Groundhog day also looks at this when Bill Murray and Andie MacDowell have the snowball fight with the kids quite spontaneously and then the next day he tries to make it happen again but it doesn't

Virginia Madsen is good and Neelix is strangely quite engaging in this one (as the advice giver)

One thing though. She says she was on board for two weeks trying to find the stow away but she also asserts that her species are forgotten after a few hours

So would the entire Voyager crew wake up after "a few hours sleep" and think...."who the hell is this woman" and would Chakotay have to fall in love with her every single day

I think this is the kind of stuff that only works if you don't look too closely at it and abstain from asking too many questions. For instance, how about the people in Voyager that never even met her (there's more than a hundred people on the ship) and yet heard of her. How was she able to make them forget? What happens to the logs, are every mention of her erased and the rest left intact? In which case it would be manifest that they have been tampered with or are they erased altogether, in which case it should be obvious that something went very wrong! What happens to the people that heard of her but with a delay of say one hour, by the people that lived the story and then forgot? If all memory are erased how do they account for the time that has passed and the distance that Voyager has covered in the meantime?

Let's face it. It's a funny story but not one that is very consistent.

hux> I have only watched it twice so forgive me if I mistake but here's my theoretical answer. maybe it was like 51st dates and she did a video playback :-)

You'd think they'd realise this and just change one word of dialogue. Change the word hours to the word days and you've basically solved the problem

Well one of them
