Spoilers Una's fate after Season 1

He can't win that decisively, as the ban still needs to be in place by the 2370s.

Get her reinstated under certain conditions or something.

Bashir was. I expect something similar here.

I also like the radiation/Pike idea. Perhaps Pike's survival IS a cheat somewhat & Una helps him get that far. She was always a part of his survival, they just did not know it.

Perhaps Disco/Academy cannonizes the eventual overturn of the ban and Una's role in it.

Yes they do and they are Federation members
Actually, it's never been proven that Denobulus got Fed citizenship, and they may have refused to join because of the genetic engineering ban thing. The few Denobulan Starfleet officers seen in Prodigy and Lower Decks could all have been sponsored like Nog, and these specific individuals probably weren't genetically engineered (especially as a Denobulan makes a big deal about someone being so in an episode of Prodigy).

Since the relevant scripts are presumably already written, I think I can reasonably give a spoiler-tagged
Una's defense counsel gets her and her species off by citing Denobulan use of genetic engineering.

If this spoiler is true, how did Pike's future knowledge of an alternate timeline involve the Denobulans at all? In 'Quality of Mercy', Una was in the slammer, and the implication from the episode was that Pike learns something from that horrific timeline that at the very least allows him to avert Una's imprisonment in the Prime timeline. Una's acquittal being connected to Denobulans comes out of nowhere. Not that I doubt your spoiler, but it fails to explain why a similar Denobulan defense didn't also acquit Una in the Quality of Mercy timeline.

Perhaps Spock is the key.

What??????????
You get sent to prison for being genetically modified. That's just wrong
Irrational Fears of the eugenics wars and Khan.

This comes from DS9, SNW didn’t invent it

It’s a theory, not something from the show.

We actually don't know if what Pike learned from his time crystal encounter has any bearing on Una's fate.

All we know is that in the alternate timeline, she's been held incommunicado for seven years, and in the prime timeline, she's arrested.

And my spoiler-tagged story idea was simply how I would have handled the situation, not my guess on how the writing staff handled it.
