UK BBSers: From Russia with SNOW....

I just cancelled an appointment with a boss at work for first thing in the morning.

The forecast is for heavy snow +/- localised flooding overnight and frankly I can't be bothered to drive 45 minutes there and then 45 minutes back just for a 15 minute appointment that can be postponed. I'm on annual leave at the moment anyway, apart from that one appointment, so...

We had a bit of snow the night before last, totally gone again now though. I know a few fields around the edge of town are all flooded, hopefully that's not a sign of more.

rained all day yesterday and then snowed in the evening. got to work yesterday, albeit late thanks to some over-enthusaistic workmen doing resurfacing work on the A419. the snow wasn't that bad though.

Last night's supposed blizzard never materialised, and today actually turned into a lovely late-winter's day.

Bright sunshine & moderately warm by comparison to the last few weeks. I think we've turned the corner, at last!

I feel we've been had by Europe in general this month... after all it was their cold weather and snow that came over here, taking our jobs, crippling our infrastructure, stealing our women... :(

Whatever happened to British snow for British people? ;)

Outsourced to India. Far cheaper that way.

^ subjective idealism. Trains have it. :D

No snow, but lots and lots of rain (and snowmelt) causing localised flooding today.

I was fooled by the early blue skies and got caught short without an umbrella while shopping. Will the weather trauma never cease?

And, it's snowing again. has been for a couple of hours now. There's been a slight dusting so far but it's still coming down fairly heavy.

It's snowing here, too - but it's not a heavy snowfall. It's gently falling from the sky like the soft, downy bumfluff of Santa scratching his hairy, fat, dandruff-ridden arse.

we;ve had loverly rain yesterday here then today nice and dry and cold best of all no ruddy snow:)

such poetic imagery.

it's a few flakes falling here too...

Interesting description :techman: Keeps changing it's mind, for a while it's big flakes, then it goes to powdery stuff, and back again.
