I may have said this before, but I really like the darker hull color of the ISS Titan. I like the USS Titan's hull design better, though; if the USS Titan just had the darker hull color of the ISS Titan, I think that that would be nifty.

I just picked up the first book in the Titan series yesterday. Already read 100 pages. Nice to have an image to associate with the ship.

1) What's the tile/honeycomb pattern in the background meant to represent (if anything)?

2) While on the I.S.S. Crest one can clearly recognize the Americans, I'm not sure what the globe on the regular universe crest shows. Is it supposed to be Titan itself?

The honeycomb is just a filter I used in Photoshop. I used it to represent the fracturing of the universe. To show that the Empire is breaking through. For the U.S.S. Titan
I left it in to go with my other desktop themes.

The planet in the U.S.S. Titan's crest is the Moon Titan. I used a satilite image of Titan to come up with it.

For the I.S.S. Titan that is the globe part of the Imperial Logo. From TOS.
