U.S.S. TITAN -- THE WINNER!

^^The battle footage was presumably meant to be part of the "data stream" Wes talked about that showed data from "virtually all past tactical encounters." Why it happened to be synchronized with an actual Klingon attack supposedly happening outside the ship is a matter of poetic license.

But no way am I believing that Titan's warp core looks exactly like the Enterprise-D's.

Forgive me if this has been asked but what is the model made from? The pic looks like some kind of foam but I'd bet I'm wrong.

They used a CNC machine to cut the Mesh out of foam, then the made mold
based off of that. The final parts are made out of Fiberglass, with a metal and
wood skeleton inside. I have all of the photos, but Mr Rizzardi did not want
all of them posted.

Oh, Mr. Rizzardi, can you not see we have an unquenchable thirst for the realization of our geeky trekdom? Can you not see the yearning of our souls? Woe, oh woe! Help us Mr. Rizzardi, you're our only hope...

So I take it all of the models and wardobe, plus props are the ones that were used on the show and never sold at Christie's?

So if it's hanging, how is that a disappointment? Does that mean one can't get up close and personal with it?

Hoo-kay, I just got a really disturbing mental image there...

Don't be shy, Bill. We all know you want to make sweet, sweet love to your starships.
This might help :p

You mean like the upside-down Edo God, the inappropriately labeled Terelian Starship Model, or the Yridian and Markalian busts labeled with the character names instead of the Species names?
You should have seen my reaction when I saw them.

Thank you so much for the pictures Species7582! I'm sure, like me, many of us have been salivating to get our first glimpse of the tour! Can you give us any detail about the motion simulators or anything?
Your welcome!

I would say I managed to take pics of about 75-80% of the exhibit. Missing are some Costume/Wardrobe, props and I didn't take the pics of the simulators and posters - movies (TMP thru Nemesis), NX01 engineering and Alpha/Beta quadrant maps (from Star Charts).

Didn't ride the simulators (there are four - 2 shuttles & 2 two person rides) but they feature the Borg.

Robert Picardo was there for photo/signing. Couldn't remember when but Ethan Philips and Suzie Plakson were also scheluded to appear.

Yes

Cool, thanks for sharing. I can't wait to see this thing in person whenever the Tour comes to Phoenix.

IESB.net was allowed to tape the Titan presentation at the Tour, including the Wheaton/Russ video sequence and an all-too-brief glimpse of the Titan miniature:

That was very nice. I liked to see Wil Wheaton finally grown up: with beard and confidence. :-) Tim Russ plays Tuvok very well - you could hear the typical Vulkan/Spock-way of speaking. Well done boys.

As for the adventure itself - couldn't The Tour have used diplomacy and new special effects instead of guns and re-used clips?

They could have but did they want to spend the extra money to do it? My guess would be no.

I think it was presented nicely, except for the reused clips. They probably had only so much money to put into this. Maybe they should of been given more, maybe not. All in all I thought it was good.

Here is a little something that I finally had to do.

I give you my take on what I see as what the bridge of the Titan
might look like.

I have gone with a blending of the Ent-D and Ent-E Bridges with a little
Of Voyagers.

Also they have described in the novels that the Bridge does have a slope
from the upper to the lower sections. I left the describe railing on the
upper section off.

While creating this I also decided to create the I.S.S version for my Dark
Mirror Universe fans.

*Note* This is by no means the official design, unless the powers that be
Over at Simon & Schuster or even CBS decide to adopt it.

Hint, Hint Marco...

Enjoy.

Very nice, so do you have any idea who would sit where? Besides the obvious of Riker, Vale, and Troi in the center and the pilots in front that is.

Those are very nice designs. They are very close to what I've been picturing in my mind as I've been reading the whole Titan series this year. I really like the extra consoles on the ISS Titan, as well. They really beef up the upper level of the bridge.

It's just my opinion, but I think the center seat should have larger consoles. For some reason, I've always pictured the center seat with consoles similar to the USS Defiant. I always felt it gave the Captain or XO better access to ships systems during critical situations.
Have you done any work on the layout of Main Engineering?

That looks excellent, can't wait to see it done up with CG and all that. Good Job of blending all the elements from the other bridges.

Titan is nice, but I can't help but think it would look better with the nacelles pointing up, not down.

Oooo.... these are beautiful, thanks for sharing!

although, I feel the bridge is a bit too roomy, too much empty spaces, it feels like people have to shout across the room even during normal operations.

Ingame, all rooms are bigger than we're used from the shows, the main reason being that the "camera" that follows you're character needs space in order to give you a good view of your surroundings.

If for example, the wall and ceiling would only be a few foot from you, the only thing you'd most likely see would be your characters back or head.

It's a game engine issue and can't be helped. I usually just pretend the rooms are smaller.
