U.S.S. TITAN -- THE WINNER!

^

the World Series is actually named for a newspaper that originally sponsored the contest.

AFAIK, there's no 'world' cup of gridiron.

at least the rugby and cricket world cups are played by teams from around the world if not by the entire world like the football world cup.

I'm astonished this is actually coming here to Rochester instead of Buffalo. I remember going to some Trek exhibit at Buffalo's science museum many years ago. I don't recall it being anything special.

This looks much more interesting. I'll definitely go, whenever it gets here. I imagine it'll be at the Rochester science museum. They have a room big enough to accommodate this that is being used now for one of those traveling body shows.

The Mesh itself is done, just not the aztecing and other
minor textures.

"Aztecing?" You mean it has to be consecrated with a human sacrifice? :D

(That refers to some kind of surface texture/pattern, right? I don't quite get why, though. Does it resemble something in Aztec art or architecture?)

I like the human sacrifice theory.

And the thing about computer programming labs is, there's always bound to be a virgin handy...

The only issues with the opening I had was the fact that some of the people chosen for the parts were (IMHO) not right.

No problem. Some of the parts were admittedly arbitrary picks. Actually, for Ranul, I couldn't find the last name on Andy Mangel's site for the person he based Keru off, just the first name of Mark. So I used the generic last name of "Smith."

Very nice. I love Derek Jacobi as the voice of Ree. I've been trying to think of somebody who would be good for Ree, and IMO you've found him.

I liked the use of the theme from The Tudors.

They have one of the better recent opening credit sequences lately.

Sounded pretty good and looked too. Where did you get the music for it? Would be interesting to see what happens if more pop up on Youtube or somewhere else.

Thanks for the compliments, everyone.

I got the music from another YouTube Star Trek fan vid, an alternate opening for Enterprise. I heard it and thought that it was perfect for the Titan theme I was looking to make.

quick update on the Physical Titan Model and Tour info...

Gene Rizzardi and his crew have started on the model, and plan on having completed by 01/09/2008.

As for the Tour, I have been told they are filming a segment on the second on board the U.S.S. Titan with Tuvok (Tim Russ) and Wesley Crusher (Wil Weaton). Unfortunatly they
were not able to get Mr Frakes for Riker.

I will post WIP shots as I get them, none as of yet.
