Typhon Pact

I hasten to add I do think the book'll be fab!

But if you've seen those fucking ads so many times...

(the downside of being self-employed from home is daytime TV- even on documentary channels you're watching for research...)
 
I'm glad to see Shar, I grew fond of him too. I hope he stays permanently, not just shows up for a moment and then disappears. It was an interesting character.

I rather dislike the Typhon Pacts covers, they're all so... boring! Lucky we now there's going to great stuff inside, but I really think the covers are doing this series a disservice. I hope Cross Cult come along and do something a bit more exciting when they do the German versions!
 
THe covers are kinda "by-the-numbers," though I do like that there's a clear visual similarity between them. Helps establish "Typhon Pact" as its own arc, rather than being a TNG/DS9/TTN/Aventine (AVT? AVN? AVE?) crossover.

And yay! Shar!

But you could of done that with some sort of epic image spanning all four covers (like Terok Nor, Crucible and Avatar) and given the series a bit more punch to go with its unified branding. One of the reasons I find the Destiny covers a bit disappointing is the lack of a big pretty picture when you put them next to each other :P
 
It is indeed nice to Shar once again but does anyone notice how he's been bumped up to Lieutant Commander or is that me? Looks like 3 pips. I don't have photoshop to zoom in and look .
 
I'm glad to see he's been promoted, after all it's been five (?) years since we last saw him.
 
It makes sense that he would be promoted... and this cover's getting me even more excited for the Pact novels to come out. :D
 
Okay...am I about the only one who thinks that Shar's hairstyle of choice (on all the book covers with him on it, not just this one) is decidedly not dress-code compliant?

(I dunno. I'm just thinking that those braids would get in the way more often then not. Just wondering what the heck the designers of the character were thinking....)
 
Is that the same publicity shot of Picard used on the cover of Losing The Peace?

It was mentioned many times his hair was usually tied (eg. at some point Prynn notices that it's "first time" she sees his locks lose, falling on his shoulders)
