Typhon Pact

Enterprise1981

Vice Admiral
Admiral
This should an interesting novel series with a new political rival and a possible competition for superior technology mirroring that of the Cold War arms race. I'm curious as whether the upcoming novels featuring the DS9 ensemble (Zero Sum Game and Rough Beasts of Empire) will bridge the gap between 2377 and 2382 like with the Voyager novel Full Circle, or will DS9 relaunch proceed on the same pace picking up from Never Ending Sacrifice?

As far as I can tell, neither. The books are just jumping forward five years and continuing forward from there. At least, that was editor Margaret Clark's plan when she made the decision to bring DS9 in synch with the other series. But she's not the editor anymore and no post-Typhon Pact books have been announced, so it's unknown whether any subsequent books will go back and fill in the gap.

If one were to subscribe to this video's message, this novel could be nicknamed Julian's Beards.

Pardon me if this has been covered elsewhere, but what are the titles of the Typhon Pact miniseries, in what order, and are due to be released when?

Consider this an opportunity to shamelessly plug your work.

Zero Sum Game
Seize the Fire
Paths of Disharmony
Rough Beasts of Empire

released in that order at the end of this year/beginining of next in North America.

Thanks, CaptCalhoun...other than Mack writing the first one, as I can see from the cover above, who is writing the other three?

I must say that its rather scary how little those two have changed. Nicole deBoer and Alexander Siddig that is. Although Avery Brooks hasn't really aged much either. Except for the grey-ish beard. Those are of course shopped pics but compare them to newer ones.

Oh, and: Keep it up Mr. Mack! :techman:

as in that bdum tsh noise used for jokes.

The term is often used erroneously to refer to the sting played by the drummer in cabaret shows to accentuate the punchline of a joke. As a result, a particularly obvious laugh line is called a rimshot.
thanks guys. now that you mention it i know what you're talking about but "cue snare drum" meant absolutely nothing to me. ah, as they say. you learn as long as you live.

"National Bestselling Author David Mack"

Hmm...did the marketers come up with putting that line on the book, ol' boy? ;)
its on pretty much every book he's written. well those book and covers i've seen at least.

The bestselling author title comes from the A Time To books..., doesn't it? I swear I remember hearing somewhere the last three or four were (deservedly) on one of the bestseller lists.

The real money however is on how high the body count will be in this novel.

hey, apparently section 31 is involved. heads are gonna roll. :)i'd say pretty high. and if Mr Mack's action scenes will be as good as in The Calling i'll probably never put the book down.
