Spock: Admiral, if we go by the book, like Lt. Saavik, hours could seem like days.

Spock: The situation is grave, Admiral. We won't have main power for six days. Auxiliary power has temporarily failed. Restoration may be possible in two days. By the book, Admiral.

 

[LeadHead]

Kirk: Meaning, you can't even beam us back?

Spock: Not at present.

 

[LeadHead]

Kirk: Captain Spock, if you don't hear from us within one hour, your orders are to restore what power you can, take the Enterprise to the nearest starbase and alert Starfleet Command as soon as you're out of Jamming Range.

 

[Vanyel]

Uhura: Sir, we won't leave you behind.

 

[LeadHead]

Kirk: Uhura, if you don't hear from us there won't be anybody behind. Kirk out. (Closes communicator) Now you two can stay here, or...

 

[Vanyel]

Cpt Terrell: If it's all the same Admiral, we'd like to share the risk.

 

[LeadHead]

Kirk: Right. Lets go. Saavik.

 

[Vanyel]

Bones: Go? Where are we going?

 

[LeadHead]

Kirk: Where they went.

 

[Vanyel]

Bones: Suppose they went nowhere?

 

[LeadHead]

Kirk: Then this'll be your big chance to get away from it all.

 

[Vanyel]

(They beam to the co-ordinates left in the transporter. Once down they look around the room)
