Did you know you can get power out of a black hole? It turns out that black holes can function as mass-energy converters, thanks to angular momentum & frame dragging.

I did know that but then I studied General Relativity at university back in the 70s. The black hole could also be given an electric charge so that it would be a lot easier to control its position using electric and magnetic fields.

the idea that this could be an explanation for hypervelocity ("rogue"?) stars is also pretty fascinating

The summary seems to be accurate. Of course, if the black hole is charged the spacetime metric is a bit different from a Kerr metric. The Kerr-Newman metric is then appropriate.
