I haven't seen anyone post about this yet, so I thought I'd share. Let's be classy in this thread and NOT MAKE ANY TWILIGHT JOKES. This is a tragedy. The woman was in a crosswalk and had a red light when she tried to run across Harbor Drive toward the convention center about 9:20 a.m., said police Sgt. Ron Glass.
The driver of one car saw her and slowed down, but the driver of a Subaru Outback didn’t see her in time, Glass said. The pedestrian tried to stop her own momentum when she saw the oncoming Subaru but tripped and hit the side of the car, Glass said.

2) I am constantly paranoid when I'm driving that some pedestrian is going to do exactly this and that I might wind up hurting or killing someone through no fault of my own. I'm hyper aware when I'm out driving because of this. Please, everyone - be careful. Crosswalks are there for a reason.

Comments regarding such are better made in PMs with me or another SFF mod. Failing that please use the MA forum.you'd think with all that glitter the car would of seen her better.

Yet I got an infraction for using the term "douchebag". But it's okay to make snide comments about someone who died in an unfortunate accident.
What a marvelous world we live in.![]()
I know that, and I'm not surprised. Doesn't mean it ain't worth re-questioning.Comic-Con has been about more than comics for years. That Twilight is featured (again, this isn't their first rodeo there) should not be a surprise to anyone.
