Twelve: I will miss him terribly.

Gallifrey Base's ignore function is just as useful as TrekBBS's. As fun as an argument can be occasionally, if it's too hard to avoid taking the bait, you can always avoid seeing the bait.

One almost wonders if a certain forum member were traumatized by an audio drama as a child, some radio play that scared the ever living f**k out of him, making him swear off any entertainment that does not have some visual component to it.

Scene: Courtroom, a certain forum member sits upon the stand, his body twitching nervously. A lawyer hold up a "plush" figurine and addresses the stand.

Lawyer: "Will you point to the region on his doll where the nasty, ol' Big Finish audio drama inappropriately touched you?"

(Please note: I did not mention any names. I could writing about myself...except, I enjoy the Big Finish media. I mean, how can one NOT like the fact Tom Baker is once again portraying the Fourth Doctor?!)

Well, since I like audio books, podcasts, etc, I know I can't be the certain forum member you're talking about.

 :shifty:

But, if I can just make a guess, I'm sure its not the audio drama format this mysterious forum member has a problem with. Its the lack of quality of the dramas combined with some people trying to pretend they in anyway count when it comes to talking about the franchise.

I enjoyed Capaldi's Doctor when he was given ace material to work with, but I never really warmed to him as completely as I did with his three predecessors.

I also think Jenna should have had a proper full season with Smith and not just 8 episodes + 50th anniversary special
Agreed. I consistently liked Clara much more with Smith than her time with Capaldi (where on occasion I downright loathed her), and it's a shame she never got a full season with Smith.

Oh I forgot. She was in Smiths swan song. She basically went from one Christmas (The Snowmen) to the next (The Time of the Doctor)

Oddly, what made me more sad about Capaldi leaving was seeing him rocking that wild hair in Twice Upon A Time. I told myself: 'Dude would look absolutely magnificent doing an entire DW Season with that Jon Pertwee hairstyle', then it struck me... He isn't. He's probably going to be in a Special or two, some Big Finish Audios and that's it. The Capaldi Era is no more.

I'm obviously super hyped for Whittaker, however, I'm going to miss watching that Punk Scotsman giving very loud speeches and attacking people with his eyebrows.

I did love him in that hairdo. And I thought it odd that the First Doctor didn't comment on him acting the way he did in his old age.

Ditto about the hair. I thought his outfit was wonderful for the past season, also. They did a great job of, as they usually do, blending class, punk, and quirk. Nothing like that boring hipster-Urkel crap I've seen Thirteen wearing in promos.

In general, I really do think he'd found his character in that season. I wonder if Chibnall would've gone that direction, had Capaldi stayed.

Honestly, just having looked at some series 8 clips, I preferred it when Capaldi had a normal haircut. I forgot that he basically all of series 8 with short hair, and it worked a lot better.

One good thing about his series Series 10 look, though, is that they stopped dressing him like he was an unemployed couch potato on a lazy saturday afternoon. He basically just kept his "Doctor clothes" on, which was a big step up from how he looked for most of Series 9.

He looked the best at the end
