TV Ratings (Thursday 27th October) + Friday

PoI represents a depature (albeit a minor one) from CBS's usual approach so it also has strategic value for them beyond its numbers. CBS can afford to hang onto a weak-ish show that helps them start to build a new audience that skews younger. It's just the thing they need to start doing, unless they want to do what corporations usually do, ignore all the warning signs until it becomes a crisis and then respond, even though it would have been so much easier if they'd responded earlier. ;)

Person of Interest doesn't skew young. That's the problem it faces. It skews significantly older than, for example, Criminal Minds and Hawaii Five-O. It may seem like a show that should skew younger, but the facts belie that assumption.

If PoI suffers typical spring erosion come midseason then it won't come back. Its best chance is to hold and get moved to 10pm because CBS won't stand for a non friday show at 9pm with those demo numbers, especially one they don't produce.

I can't understand how The Office is consistently out-performing both Parks and Recreation and Community. Both are far superior shows compared to the listless dinosaur that is The Office.
