TV Ratings Catch-Up (Tue/Wed/Thur)

I thought Hell's Kitchen netted about 7 million viewers in the time slot last year for FOX. No, I don't think we have many Vampire Diaries viewers here on the BBS. Pretty boy vampires don't seem to hold much appeal.

 I guess not. I watch it...the lead girl is hot but the show itself is flat.

Hell's Kitchen doesn't interest me I did like the show when Gordon goes to bad restaurants and helps make them better.

Yeah that show is supposed to come back, last I heard sometime in January.

The problem is no one wants to go on the show because 60+% of the restaurants close within a year.

Doesn't really mean anything. Terminator had the same thing and its cancelled. DVR isn't seriously considered because, as was said, you can fast forward through the ads. However, I recently read that ABC is developing technology that allows them to override so you can't fast forward anymore.

Terminator dropped to 3 million and the DVR didn't even get it up to Fringe's actual night ratings. Fringe could move 8 million+ with a demo closer to or over 3.0, it seems stupid to waste such a show after a solid 1st season.

Hells Kitchen would do respectable work in that 9pm thursday slot and can afford lower ratings and then come midseason you switch it with the other cooking show erm Kitchen Nightmares is it ?.

but FOX have never been born with much in the way of IQ points.

The Vampire Diaries is doing well, being on The CW and all and no one watches it here???

It's a show for 12 year old girls.

I'm guessing 85% of the people here are male, and of the 15% that aren't they are mostly over 12. :)

Vampire Diaries--the one show Dawn Ostroff didn't want to put on the fall schedule. She had to be convinced. The Warners suits had to push for it.

seriously? is that true?

the CW is in real danger of having a break out hit in its target demo, and Ostroff didn't want it?

It's very much true. It was a report about the slate of new fall shows and the condition of each network. The CW, flailing around like it is, got a great deal of mention. I forget if it was Variety or Hollywood Reporter where I read it. They talked about the irony of Ostroff not wanting the one "hit" her network has put on this fall. It's the only (semi) successful show that the CW has launched that didn't come from WB or UPN. The Warners people aren't thrilled with how she runs the network, but the article reiterated a point I've read elsewhere, that no one else wants the job of running the CW. It's considered a crap job in the extreme.

well the first thing I would do is bring back Dawsons Creek ;)

Not a fan of the show, but that appears to be where theCW is at.
