Greetings everyone!

Before I could decide what theme to chose for our next contest Owain Taggart suggested CAMPING. It's a good idea and I like it, so let's roll with it. Any kind of camping scene will do. I'll open this up to Sci-Fi and Fantasy, so the sky's the limit!

I'll leave the entry thread open for one week, or until May 20th.

(Erm, sorry about the Simpsons entries two contests in a row. I usually try to have a bit more variety, but in this case I was having a difficult time coming up with any ideas.)

Well, I was hoping to find a tenting scene, but that seems to be a bit harder than I thought it would, so it seems like campfire it is. This one's from the Muppet movie from 1979.

I think I have an idea for an entry. Would Scully and Mulder out at night and her singing Joy to the World to him, count as camping?

I've never watched "The X-Files" so I'll have to let someone else make that call.

Yeah, never seen it either. But maybe a few general guidelines?

- Are they out in the wilderness?
- Cut off from civilization?
- Are they endangered by wild animals such as bears and raccoons?
- Are they tenting, RVing, renting a cabin or just out in the open with sleeping bags?
- Are they sitting around a campfire?
- Are they enjoying any camping related activities, such as canoeing?

If none of those, probably not. Does that line up with your thoughts, Shran?
