TV & Media Avatar Contest: "Woefully Miscast Actors"

Aragorn

Fleet Admiral
Admiral
For a second, I was worried the last poll was going to end in a tie. What happens in that situation?

My selection for this week:

imagenba.jpg

Tim Robbins as Nuke LaLoosh in Bull Durham, the young can't-miss pitching super prospect despite 1) being in his 30s, and 2) having the absolute worst pitching mechanics.

Orlando Bloom as Balian in KINGDOM OF HEAVEN

Angelina Jolie as Alexander the Great's mother in ALEXANDER :wtf: (... granted, this was only one of the film's 99 problems)

Sofia Coppola in GODFATHER III

^ If Steven Seagal's Genghis Khan movie had been made, people might've forgotten all about John Wayne. :p

Sofia Coppola in GODFATHER III

^If someone made an Av of that, it'd probably get my vote. She was godawful.

Or even better (or worse, actually) was Winona Ryder in The Age of Innocence. Criminey. That performance was suckitude on a truly grand scale.

^ (To Aragorn) Still, John Wayne as Genghis Khan will get my vote. EGADS.

Give that man a gun, a horse and a saddle (particularly if directed by John Ford) or a machine gun and a hill to take in WWII combat and I'm there.

But Genghis Kahn????

I'll add Robert De Niro as Frankenstein's monster in Mary Shelley's Frankenstein.

While I think he did well enough, he really just didn't seem right for the part.

I would have to agree on that.

"You come here, you steal our land, and now you want to ship drugs in mountain goat carcasses. Yet I, Genghis Khan, ruler of the asian empire, leader of the mongol horde, must stop you." <karate chop>

Honestly, I don't think they put that much thought in it.

:wtf:That doesn't even look like a movie. It looks like something out of a sketch on the Dean Martin show.

I've seen the movie. It's more surreal than anything. :D

With that, I announce a second entry:

Rock Hudson as an Indian fighter in Winchester '73.

Is that all we've got?!? DUDE!

We have James Bond, Robin Hood and Genghis Khan! What more do we need?

^I don't think so. I think J.Allen should pick one. I suppose he could "donate" the other to someone, if he wished.
