This very theme is unoriginal as I pretty much just copied it off the contest @theenglish posted in SF&F and changed it a little for television.

The Flintstones - 1994 movie based on the 1960 animated series

(Question for @Orac ... for future reference, are you intending this to be similar to theenglish's contest, where it basically has to be a separate adaptation, or are you also allowing "sequel" stories, where a TV show continues a story started in a movie, or a movie continues a story started in a TV show?)

Good question, I will allow both as both have already been entered. Case in point, Stargate SG-1 is meant to be a continuation of the movie Stargate with some creative license taken. Whereas the movie Doctor Who and the Daleks is an adaption of a story from the television programme.
