Okay, when one can't come up with a very original theme, there's always the different years. Since I specifically remember us doing a contest on media from 1984 (as that's the year I was born, and I also specifically remember doing a TMNT entry), I thought I'd pick up ten years later. So, pick from any film, TV show or comic book that has its 30th anniversary this year to base your entry on. I will allow SF & Fantasy for this one.

There's enough to choose from so that I'll allow up to five entries per user.

As always, entries must not be larger than 200x200 pixels and/or 1 Mb data, and should definitely be safe for work.

Okay, they're not broken on my desktop firefox browser, but they are broken in the DuckDuckGo browser on my phone. At least some of them, namely the entries from @the G-man , @auntiehill and @Avro Arrow , while my own entries and the ones from @Orac are fine.

Right, looked again, and even on my browser desktop, @Avro Arrow 's third entry from "The Puppet Masters" is broken.

And checking a few via the "open image in new tab" function, they appear to be broken at the source, and that postimg.cc for all three of you. @Orac and I use Imgur.

I'll keep this contest open until the matter is resolved, no point of putting up the poll this way.

Good ol' PostImage.

Should be OK now? I checked this thread on a device/browser I never use (so wouldn't be cached), and it loaded all the images correctly the first time. If you're still seeing the blue PostImage message, you might need to do a hard refresh, as that's probably cached.

Okay, this is awkward.

I was about to put up the poll, when I realized in my selection I was missing an entry I told myself I absolutely had to include, but then I kind of forgot. So, since I wasn't very satisfied with the quality of the Speed avatar anyway, I'm switching it out (already edited out of my previous post) for the one I originally wanted to do.
But I don't want to switch it while doing the poll, as that would have been a last minute change that only I was able to do because I'm running the contest.
So, to make it more fair, I'll keep the contest open for roughly another 24 hours, to give everybody a chance to either put up more entries or make other changes.

Well, here's my new entry, and those of you who know me even a little bit would agree that I couldn't live with myself if I didn't do this one.
