So, a Canadian (namely @Owain Taggart ) has won the last couple contests here. In honour of that, I decided to go with a bit of a Canadian theme this time around! Our theme this week is Canadian Performers in Movies & Television. Wait, you say, I don't know any Canadian performers! Yes, you do. You may not know they're Canadian, but you know them. Sometimes it seems performers are one of our largest exports! For the purposes of this contest, it doesn't matter if they later renounced their citizenship, or acquired a new citizenship, or whatever. If they were born in Canada, they are eligible. The image can be a promotional or behind-the-scenes image, or it can be an image of them in a role. If you use a role image, SF&F is OK. As usual, maximum image size is 200 x 200 pixels, and maximum file size is 1 MB. Contest will be open for about a week. Still stuck? Wikipedia has a whole page that may help you. Great topic idea! And yes, there are loads, so it will be interesting to see what turns up. Ironically, many of these dream of heading to Hollywood after having a lower profile in Canada, and end up going back to Canada when it comes to shooting. Off the top of my head: Ryan Gosling, Paul Gross, Rachel McAdams, Donald and Keifer Sutherland, Leslie Neilsen, Drake (Yes, he was an actor before he turned musician, on a little series known as Degrassi: TNG), Mike Myers, Dan Akroyd, and many many more.
