Contest: ENTER TV & Media Av Contest: Christmas!

This week's contest is devoted to the Christmas movies, Christmas TV specials, traditional winter-holiday-themed programs that you watch year after year. They can be fantasy programs & movies but must be holiday-themed--meaning they are centered around the holiday and holiday-themed in some fashion, rather than just having the holiday as very minor point in the back-ground. That means no Lethal Weapon or Die-Hard. :p

Think Rudolph, the Grinch, the various different versions of A Christmas Carol, The Santa Claus, It's a Wonderful Life, Elf, A Charlie Brown Christmas, Polar Express, Miracle on 34th Street, White Christmas, The Bishop's Wife, The Nightmare Before Christmas, etc.

Standard av rules apply, 200 x 200 pixels max, 1 KB max. The poll will go up sometime on late Tuesday, the 19th (ish). Let's start off with one entry per person and if we need more, I'll ask for second entries.

Here's mine, from one of my all-time favorites, A Christmas Story.

The movie, and the actor, who turned me into such a big Santa fan at the age of 16:

Sir Richard Attenborough in the 1994 version of "Miracle on 34th Street".

So that means no Christmas episodes of TV series, right? Pretty sure, but I just wanted to make sure.

That's not how I understood it. The big thing @auntiehill is aiming for, if I got the jist, is that christmas is supposed to be a major plotpoint, and not just Shane Blackism "It happens on Chrismtas, so it's a Christmas Movie". So, as far as TV shows go, "Simpsons Roasting on an Open Fire" would qualify, the christmas-themed episodes of, say, "Supergirl" don't, as those are pretty much regular episodes with one scene at a Christmas Party.

But that's my interpretation. @auntiehill will surely correct me, if I'm wrong.

^Nailed it in one. As long as Christmas is a major plotpoint of the episode, that's perfectly fine.

Come on, gang! Still time to enter. Some other ideas for great avs: Love, Actually, and National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation.

I had decided I wasn't going to enter this one, because the last week and some has basically crushed any festive holiday spirit right out of me. But then I figured, if I can fake it at holiday gatherings, I'm sure I can do so here, too.

I love that movie. If nothing else, at least this helps to remember happier times.

I changed my approach. I was going to enter the infamous Star Wars special, but re-checking it -- it's only a holiday special; no Christmas per se, so instead I'll go with another infamous one...

"We Wish You a Turtle Christmas"

A Godawful TV special trying to milk the 1990's films.

Hmph. Not many entries. I'll leave this open a day or two more. You can have two entries if you like.
Here's my second one, again A Christmas Story:
