Tuvix - dumbest character in star trek history?

He was very creepy looking.

But what is a real shame is we never got to hear from either Neelix or Tuvok if they remembered it! What was it like.. did it make them more sympathetic towards each other? Or deeply, deeply embarrassed. I think it would be hard to recall it other than as a bad dream about something awful happening to someone you knew in the dream but didn't recognize when you woke up.

Tuvix masturbated.

or he should have.

is that why he was so insistent that Kes should love him because he wouldn't take care of himself?

But since it's unlikely that he didn't, some memories should stay repressed for peace of mind.

... if they remembered it!
When Tuvok and Neelix materialized in sickbay, neither seem surprised to be there, instead of on the transporter pad.

Complete memories, including emotions, fears, thoughts of Kes, desire to live?

Maybe?

:devil::devil::devil:

Ha! I just realized something. They could have used this as an excuse to reset Tuvok's pon farr cycle. The merging/unmerging caused physiological changes or something. If it wasn't going to happen for another seven years, it would have been a good excuse for the show to sidestep the issue.

Sure would have been better than what we got.

Reset?

What about prematurely triggered?

OH!

What if Tuvix had faked his pon far to get his end over with Kes and then wandered across several other women on voyager claiming that pon far had just started and only THEY could save his life?

Lying very well is not rape.

And they killed him.

Tricking the people who are intent on murdering you into some harmless recreational sex seems like a fair trade off.

Apparently it is in some countries.

We didn't get enough days with Tuvix. He was smarmy to Janeway:

"Captain, has anyone ever told you that you are as fair-minded as you are lovely?"

:: gag ::

He hit on Kes which only an idiot would do in these circumstances, an idiot or someone with the desperate entitlement of jealous Neelix and the intellectual entitlement of Tuvok. He managed to win over some of the crew who seemed to like him better than either Neelix or Tuvok.

I think if they'd had him for months he would have polarized them, some would loath him and some would be in his inner circle, championing him.

No one sides against Janeway.

At least, not for long.

The vinidcation she expresses sending chakotay to his room was like a powermad reform school prefect.

So who was the dumbest character?

So many to pick from.. the dumbest should be a character you are actually embarrassed to be watching.

This pretty much made me want to watch sports.

+1

though i have a friend who thinks that episode is the best thing since slice bread....

While I don't share your friend's view, that DS9 episode IS one of the better episodes, both of DS9 and certainly MUCH better than "Tuvix".

NO. The original post in this thread. The thread title.

We're like Marty McFly overreacting every time someone calls him chicken.

Yes but taking someone's drive by and using it to make the VOY forum even more glorious (via lively chatter) is sweet.

They think they are spitting on you but it's all happy fodder in the end.
