Tuesday box office: A&D: $3.59 million; Trek: $3.36 million

Funny how Wolverine clings to the theater count. I guess that's contractual, and is bound to drop like a rock next week.

I'm still feeling good about these numbers going into the holiday weekend.

Does anyone have the box office grosses for the previous Trek movies, adjusted for inflation? I know the new movie is still currently behind TMP and TVH, but I was wondering how it's doing compared to the rest.

Adjusted for inflation: Star Trek: The Motion Picture (1979): $34,668,706 (opening weekend)/ $239,115,674 (cume)
Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan (1982): $35,038,451 / $192,290,437
Star Trek III: The Search For Spock (1984): $35,629,102 / $163,237,856
Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home (1986): $32,671,686 / $212,328,919
Star Trek V: The Final Frontier (1989): $31,267,457 / $93,951,918
Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country (1991): $30,976,050 / $127,720,425
Star Trek: Generations (1994): $39,707,107 / $129,980,545
Star Trek: First Contact (1996): $49,896,339 / $149,493,266
Star Trek: Insurrection (1998): $33,761,058 / $107,451,468
Star Trek: Nemesis (2002): $22,918,195 / $53,387,173

I really hope the Wednesday number is over 3 million dollars. Just hope the numbers stay consistant.

Well going by Wolverine/Iron Man drops it should drop by around 10% which would put it right at 3 Mil.

If it keeps up the pace then $190 million domestic is looking a real minimum come the end of Memorial Monday.

I'm going to see it a couple more times. Its coming to a one screen movie theater near me friday. $5.00 for adult ticket ($4.00 child). And concession prices that almost are as low as you would find in any store.
