TUC Klingon Court

At the beginning of Kirk and Bones' trial in The Undiscovered Country, the Klingons are all chanting something. There are no subtitles, so I always assumed they're chanting "Kirk! Kirk! Kirk!"

but, in Enterprise, all the Klingons chanted "Jagh! Jagh!" (jagh means 'enemy' in klingonese) during a similar trial for Archer

From the Klingon Dictionary, I know that 'jagh' was a word at the time of TUC. When rewatching, what I used to think sounded like "Kirk! Kirk!" does kind of sound like "Jagh! Jagh!"

anybody know? from the script perhaps?

I bet they were chanting Kirk because he was their most hated enemy...

From the fifth draft dated 12/28/90:
A cavernous stadium arranged in circular tiers cut from
jagged stone. A place from a bygone age, of savage and
awesome beauty. Something between a CIRCUS and a
CATHEDRAL.

... turned for the occasion into a gigantic COURTROOM
with thousands of spectators... SCREAMING: "KIRK! KIRK!
KIRK!

While on the topic of the Klingon Court in TUC, One of Kirk and McCoys lawyers was named Worf, played By Dorn. Is this a realitive or just poor planning. It seems odd to have a worf played by Dorn on TUC and on TNG at the same time.

He was supposed to be playing TNG Worf's great grandfather or something. Stunt casting at best.

Dumb movie...just re-watched it yesterday. I don't plan to ever see it again.

This along with Kirk's line in his final log about leaving the ship in the "care of another generation" where attempts to link the TOS films to TNG. Originally, Meyer and Denny Martin Flynn wanted to end the film where Kirk literally hands the ship over to Picard and company. That is until they were told the TNG takes place some 80 years after Kirk and Spock.

You really think so? I thought the Worf thing was dumb, but what else didn't you like?

Oh, I have a long list. I really hated this movie from it's premiere...starting with the ridiculous "Only Nixon could go to China" quote and right on through.

If you ever want to be beaten over the head repeatedly that you're watching an allegory, see this movie 'cause it really loves to beat you over the head.

Yeah..I would like to know too. I liked the movie. And compared to TNG's send off, NEMESIS, TUC is far far better...IMO
