TSCC: That Stupid Constipated Cromartie

Nardpuncher

Rear Admiral
I just caught the first episode of the Terminator TV show here in Asia and it was so-so. I didn't think the bad terminator was that great. He looked like he was making fun of the T-1000 and had a pained look that made him seem constipated.
Maybe I'll continue the show if he doesn't come back...but darnit I sw his head go flying into the time vortex at the end.

He goes on a long and winding road...Id keep watching. His take on a Terminator gets much better IMO as he goes on...

And the guy he's recast as is actually the person the producers originally wanted for the role (he couldn't be in the first episode because of a scheduling conflict), hence what you'll see is a rather convoluted path to changing his appearance. But rest assured, the Cromartie you saw in the first episode is history.

I barely even remember a thing about Cromartie's original appearance. I was thinking just today how much I enjoyed him as a recurring villain in the show.

If you continue to watch, you'll begin to appreciate Cromartie. You'll see just how resourceful terminators are. The new actor that plays him, Garret Dillahunt (I probably spelled his name wrong), does a wonderful job and makes Cromartie into one of the most interesting characters on the show IMHO.

I recommend that you stick by it. Cromartie gets better as time goes on (played by Garret Dillahunt rather than Owain Yeoman). Season Two Cromartie you actually cheer on.

Almost every episode has a little bit of character development or situational development, but if you watch the "next time" trailers and the "previously on" trailers then you shouldn't miss too much, hopefully.

Plus, the "episodic" quality doesn't really kick in hard until later-and the characters(even John) manage to evolve and improve. They were really flying without a net at first in the character development area until they found their way. Although BAG jumped in almost fully formed, IMO, and is a bright spot in the series.

I also think that Dillahunt dude is creepy as fuck. Which is a good quality for a Terminator to have. ;)

The original Cromartie is on on The Mentalist as the big dork in love with the hot redhead.

Dillahunt has so thoroughly taken over that role that at first I forgot there had ever been another actor and thought you had lost your mind for complaining about Dillahunt. :D He, Summer Glau and Brian Austin Green are really the only reasons to keep watching.

This is amazing. I've always felt that the character/actor was incredibly weak and uninteresting. Guess I'm in the minority on that one.

^ He was also in No Country for Old Men.

I'll always remember him as Steve Curtis on ER - where he was killed by his exwife after kidnapping her and his son. He seems to be a good choice for the bad guy in a production.
