Trying to think of the episode... Help please

It is a TNG episode where someone crosses the border (neutral zone into someone's territory) and the enterprise waits patiently for them to return at said time and the crew person doesn't return.

I may have the above facts jacked up or confused with another show but I am sure someone can set me straight.

Any help?
