Trick or Treaters

My favorite trick-or-treater was a little toddler who ran along behind her sisters saying "I want treat! I want treat!" instead of "Trick or treat!" After I placed her candy in her little plastic pumpkin, she sat down on the grass in her little fairy outfit and began dumping her bucket out to examine her treats. Her parents tried to convince her to get back up, but it took a few minutes.

:D So cute. Made my night. Am I so wrong for giving extra candy to the cute little ones like that? I had one older teenager who had to be a junior or senior in high school. He had a mask, so I gave him one piece of candy. Don't push your luck, punk.

I always give candy to the older kids too. I do like it when they're polite, though, and all of them were. "Trick or Treat" and then "Thank You". I really appreciated that.

I am kind of suprised that I have never heard of child molesters taking advantage of Halloween. I mean kids come to your house. At night. To totally unknown strangers.
The reason you've never heard of it is because it doesn't happen.

Also, Halloween candy that's been poisoned or spiked with razor blades by some sick fuck is a complete urban myth. There's never been a documented case of it actually happening.

. . . The kids who have stopped at my house report that one of my neighbors is giving out toothbrushes and toothpaste.
Now that's what I call a real party-pooper -- a Halloween Grinch.

The last trick or treaters I got knocked on the door at 10 after I had all the lights out. They were 15 or 16 year old girls that looked like hookers.
Gives new meaning to “trick or treat”!

I don't have the heart to completely turn the older ones away, and yes, manners go a long way when it comes to how many pieces of candy I hand out! It's funny to me how many kids will walk up, open their bags, and stare. "Trick or treat!" isn't too much to ask.

Well, apparently there are people who copy the urban myth. There was an incident in Schaumburg, IL where a teenager stuck a needle inside a Snicker's bar and then pretended that he got it while trick-or-treating. The boy's dad fell for the story and called police. By the way, once the boy confessed, he was charged with a felony.
