^ A very costly in-joke, given that they would probably have to pay the DS9 actors to reuse the footage.
There's two fan edits that combine TTWT and TnT into a single episode.
http://fanedit.org/117/ - version 1
http://fanedit.org/252/ - version 2 by a different editor, inspired by version 1
Download links for version 2 are at sister site http://fanedit.info. Version 1 is currently unavailable.
You know, I was a little disappointed that the remastered versions didn't include the spliced footage of the DS9 characters in the episode. (And, yes, I know, they didn't have perfect matches for every shot, but it would have been an amusing in-joke from my perspective.)
I wonder why "Forrest-Gumping" present day actors in today's films and TV shows have gone out of touch?I like it a lot. It's not very serious, but who cares? A nice, colorful, lightweight time travel story. And I thought the mixture of new and old footage was quite well done on the limited time and budget of a TV series.
