Trek's most embarrassing moments

Mrs. Troi is horny episode of TNG

Isn't that every Lwaxana Troi episode? :)

(well, DS9 has one that wasn't that bad, frankly.)

But anyway, with so many good ones mentioned, I'll bring up a personal pet peeve: anytime there's a technobabble joke pun. Voyager is most guilty, and the Doctor leads the way (but Torres and Paris, i've got my eye on you!).

Threshold... that episode with the Warp speed limit... that TNG evolution episode.

TOS is frequently absurd, but that's half the fun. At least TOS didn't take itself seriously. When Voy/DS9/Ent/TNG pull some ridiculous bullshit on you and then act as though it's plausible, that's the worst. I just watched "Dramatis Personae" and I can't stop hating on it. WEAK.

A sampling:

TOS: Way to Eden: pick a scene, any scene...

TNG: Encounter at Farpoint: "I feel joy." Ick

TNG: Angel One: Riker's Boy Toy costume

TNG: The Game: Virtual orgasms :wtf:

DS9: Move Along Home: pick a scene, any scene

VOY: Tsunkatse: pick a fight, any fight

VOY: Stephen King's Chris... er... "Alice"

VOY: Fair Haven: Janeway makes the man of her wet dreams

ENT: Broken Bow: decon scene

ENT: Bounty: :puke:

ENT: Rajiin: Feeling up the crew

any season one episode of tng with troi in it.
she was so annoying in that season, glad she got better during the latter ones

LOVE

You will never get a character to fall in love with another character and have them actually stay together!

Most victimized character goes to Worf. He's had two solid good relationships with two very nice ladies who end up getting killed.

Troi flying in the air, crying "where are you? where are you?" in... uh, some godforsakenly idiotic ep of TNG. ugh.

nothing in ENT can match that load of crap.

Any time an (opto-isolated, mind you) control panel explodes and sends a crewman flying. As if it ran on more than 5 volts.

Any time a girder falls from the ceiling, as if it was just hanging there and not welded to anything.

My vote for Trek's most embarrassing moments:
1) DS9 series
2) Enterprise - TATV
3) Nemesis
4) TOS - And the Children Shall Lead
5) VOY - Janeway's contradictions & Chuckles lack of spine

ds9 fascination.Lxwana Troi visits the station.Let He who is without sin. Enterprise Tatv.Voyager Janeway's Holodeck boyfriend.

I just watched "Dramatis Personae" and I can't stop hating on it. WEAK.

Oh come on, that episode is hilarious. That's one of the only season 1 episodes I can still watch and enjoy, if only because of how hilarious it is when Sisko yells that he'd sooner kill Kira than leave the station.

Characters performing CPR on an injured crewmate, shouting "Come on, breathe!" Such a cliché! I cannot look directly at the screen when this happens. I think every doctor character on Star Trek has done this, but especially bad: Robert "Wooden" Beltran in VGR's Coda.

 Eddie Roth, you rule. Most laugh out loud hilarious post I've read in a long time! Most of my picks have already been mentioned. "Plato's Stepchildren" and "And the Children Shall Lead" make me embarassed to be a Star Trek fan and watching them made me so angry I wanted to throw my TV out the window. Some moments I hate that may not have been mentioned -

1) Close-up on Troi's foot massage and other pillow talk in "The Price": Gross, and the only episode of TNG season 3 I really hate.

2) McCoy and Kirk doing very forced-sounding baby talk in "Friday's Child" and Spock struggling to understand it (although I like the rest of the episode)

3) Sisko having to sing in the DS9 episode with the aliens (with stupid face tattoos...come on, couldn't they be a little more creative with alien make-up?) who like to play games

4) The alien woman on the surface who melodramatically whines to Picard about how they're all doomed if he doesn't save them in "Deja Q"...I wished Picard would say, "calm the hell down woman, I'm trying my best!"

5) Every bit of body language and dialogue by Corbin Bensen as Q2 in "Deja Q". Aside from him and the alien woman's hysteria, I thought the episode was perfect, so I was disappointed with how they dragged it down.

 Good call. And it was "Night Terrors". Actually a very cool episode, but yikes was Troi ever atrocious in it. Just about every scene she was in brought its quality down. I also hated her cheesy mind-reading dialogue with the paralyzed guy. DOUBLE. DOUBLE. But yes, WHERE ARE YOU I HAVE TO FIND YOU TO HELP YOU was definitely the worst part. I think this episode has one of the best (unintentionally?) funny scenes in the series too with Picard yelling at the topic of his lungs because he thinks the elevator is going to crush him. Such a priceless moment when everyone gets to witness the usually so dignified captain freak out like that.

Star Trek fans campaigning for the cancellation of Enterpise.

I never heard about that when it happened but when i did boy was I annoyed.

I didn't love the show, but to ask for it to be canceled would boggle the mind of any fan from the 70s.

Those are not true Star Trek fans, just kids that always have to have it their way or no way. :(
I am a fan from the early 70s myself. I don't get all the bile and attitude.

Jeez!... exploding consoles, falling girders.......The very essence of trek....................along with the bridge crew falling together from side to side! trek wouldnt be trek without these features!!

Most victimized character goes to Worf. He's had two solid good relationships with two very nice ladies who end up getting killed.

And one of Worf's most famous ladies got married and raped in the same movie, too. Troi can't get a break in this thread, but neither can Worf's love interests apparently!
