Trekmares

Balthier the Great

Fleet Captain

Just a bit of Holloween fun. What is the most evil, nightmarish thing that JJ Abrams could put in Star Trek XI? What is it that would have you run screaming from the theaters?

Anyway: here's mine. The movie *is* about time travel. Old Spock goes back in time to save Captain Kirk, but in doing so he manages to change history such that everyone else is living in a living hell. And this is the HAPPY ending.

I'm sure someone else can come up with a better one.

-A four digit regsitry number starting with zero.
-A ship with only one nacelle.
-A Romulan with a tattoo.
-A Space Octopus.

Oh, what? All these things are in the movie? Oh my...

That Star Trek really does suck and we have to listen to the... naysayers gloating about telling us so.

-A Space Octopus.

Um. A space octopus? What? :cardie:
There's a rumor floating around (can't recall where it came from, at the moment) that one of the bad-guy ships (possibly Nero's, but I don't think that's certain) resembles a giant octopus in shape. Then again, another item I saw said that one of the toy starships to released next year in association with the movie has a squid-like or octopus-like shape.

So, yeah -- teh evil space octopus.

... the movie comes to a dead, screeching halt somewhere near the middle. As the screen "rips," out steps Tim Allen and the crew of GalaxyQuest ...

:vulcan:

An all-CGI alien with an extremely stereotypical Caribbean accent is introduced for "comic relief".

It's gonna start with Spock crying his way to the bank.

Uhura turns to Kirk at any time and says, "I... I'm frightened."

The crew all shares a friendly (but utterly fake) laugh on the bridge at the very end after some completely unfunny comment by one of them.
