What I'm looking for (in both leagues) are starting pitchers that don't suck. I'm going to hang on to Sabathia for now- I figure sooner or later he'll come out of his funk.
So you're wanting to trade a guy who sucks for someone who doesn't? I'm not that crazy!! You want to trade damaged merchandise, you have to get something that MAY not suck.
I'd be more inclined to trade a hitter for him than just a pitcher for a pitcher.
Thank God I remembered what a disaster Maddux is against the DBacks.

You know, I think I'm going to open up Sabathia to a trade. If anyone wants to make an offer, I'll think about it. Infield and Pitchers are always nice, especially a starting pitcher.

Why do I do so badly on Sundays. I looked at my line-up this morning and it seemed like Half of it was taking a day off. Now Manny has been ejected for arguing with the umpire and I was already losing big, again. Again for the second freaking year in a row I get absolutely no luck at all. That is really starting to tick me off.

Well, I made a mess out of my Yahoo roster when I tried to tweak it the other day, and I think I made it worse by trying to fix it today. I really ought to look a little more at what I need before picking a player off the waiver wire.

If by "shady" you mean, not giving him my top 2 players for one of his lesser players, then yeah...I really tried to stick it to him.
I guess when you can't beat the best, you just spread bad trade rumors about 'em, eh, sportzkid?

First you offer me Xavier Nady (who you picked up off the waiver wire, since he went undrafted) for Bedard
Then Percival and Ellsbury or Nady. When I say I need a SP back you then offer Ellsbury and Randy Johnson. Then switch to Nady/John Maine when I bring up Randy's age.
If you wanted Bedard I wanted Felix Hernandez OR Cole Hamels in return, not both. I wanted ONE of those pitchers since the quality of hitters you where giving me was not measuring up.. If you had offered up a higher quality hitter besides Nady or Ellsbury I would have greatly lowered what kind of pitcher I wanted back and hence back off Hamels or Felix.
Also not sure why you consider Bedard a lesser player...
Hey - Griffey, Gallardo, Lincecum, and many other hot players were picked up after the draft. Don't diss a guy because he wasn't drafted.
Before I said anything, I mentioned that I would never come up with an offer that you would accept. You insisted I make offers anyway. Such is life in the trade business.
You should have played fantasy with this guy I played with in the early 90s - every day he had a new trade offer for just about half the teams in the league. He ended up getting trades simply because people were tired of being bothered by him and wanted him to go away for a couple of days.

I'm looking for a starting catcher in the NL Yahoo league. I'm looking to trade Griffey or Ethier, but open to other possibilities. Make me an offer (please!)
