I managed to get General midi working on JR, which i perfer as it sounds a bit more orchestral music wise, and i see Academy D3D option now works in the game, gives the ships a better solid, less pixel look.
Overal these gog version are fantastic, i hope they have made enough cash to see more games appear, i would love a working and fixed New Worlds, Kilngon Honour guard, and possible Final unity.
I'll definitely be playing these this weekend. It'll be nice to not have to futz around with dosbox to get these games running. These are three out of the four of my favorite trek games of all time, the other being ST:TNG A Final Unity. I really hope GOG can get A Final Unity.
I recently picked up 25th Anniversary, Judgment Rites, and Starfleet Academy on GOG. I do actually own the original games but my computer's DVD player seems to have some difficulties reading CDs these days so having them downloadable is a godsend.
They are still as enjoyable as I remember them to be, giving us an interactive fourth season in the classic series.
The graphics may be old but they have a certain charm that just adds to these games, and of course the voices of original casts including those who have sadly left us a while ago and most recently (why did I have to look up that scene of Star Trek 6 yesterday in which Spock talks about how all things must eventually end)
And yeah, like other posters I saw here I want Elite Force 1, 2 and Bridge Commander on GoG even though I own the original games.
