True. Nobody's defending that "velocirap-Gorn." :D

I'm always amazed that they made a killer Tholian, but screwed up royally with the Gorn.

The only time that thing looked like a classic TOS Gorn was when it was standing upright...facing the camera...in the shadows of the ceiling directly above Mirror Archer. It looked like the classic "rubber suit" Gorn at that one brief moment. But when it jumped down it looked more like a cheesy CGI raptor from that goofy LOST WORLD syndicated show.
Agreed.

On the bright side, if Okuda actually changed the ape men on Taurus II in any obvious and meaningful ways, it's doubtful they could look any CHEESIER and much worse than that Gorn. ;) How hard could it be to superimpose a CGI chupacabra-looking furry ape dude into a scene? It could look like crap and still be better than that stunt dude in the brown fur rug. :D

I saw on startrek.com a listing of a new affiliate schedule for TOS-R. I was ecstatic when I saw my local Fox station, which airs TOS-R, had put it at 5 PM Saturday afternoon. Perfect! But no, no, no. Being Fox, they have a baseball game on this Saturday. The re-broadcast, which used to be 12:30 AM Saturday night has been moved to 3:30 AM. So much for good news.

Sorry to hear that. I myself can barely stand baseball as a sport...so you can imagine how cheesed I'D be if Major League games preempte TOS-R every other weekend during the spring and summer. Thankfully...so far...my TOS-R episodes air early enough on the weekends that sporting events almost never preempt them.

I would suggest investing in a DVR...but trust me when I say to ADD 15 minutes to the end of the recording because (at least with the Boston affiliate), they seldom remain strictly on network time in the overnight.

The Roanoke area FOX station is smart enough(to date)to air TOS-R on Saturdays at 12 noon. The earliest most baseball games tend to begin is around 2 or 3, so unless the channel moves TOS-R around for some dumbass reason or reasons the show appears to be in a safe slot for now.
