Trek guest actors in maybe surprising roles

Speaking of John Hoyt, he popped up this afternoon on an episode of the 'Lawman' as a supposed frontier Judge, who in reality, is a bank robber.

If you tuned into NBC on May 25, 1967, you'd be treated to this surprising combination:

Yes, that's Jeffrey Hunter back-to-back on Daniel Boone followed by Star Trek. This combo only existed in the summer rerun schedule, not the original. I discovered it while preparing tonight's broadcast.

Which, by the way, you're all invited to. :) We'll be showing both shows in their entirety (and also the following Dragnet '67).

Join us at 7:30pm tonight (Eastern or Pacific -- we do it twice) for the fun. Love to have ya!

Whit Bissell, Ted Gehring, Harry Townes, Bill Zuckert, Pete Kellett (as an extra) in Scapegoat, an episode of The Fugitive!

Ron Sobel as a particularly mean gunfighter in the Have Gun - Will Travel episode "Lady With a Gun."

He never appeared on Star Trek, that I'm aware*, but in the cast for that episode I see Hal Needham, who was a stunt man in practically everything during the 1960s, stunt coordinator for practically everything during the '70s, and directed a bunch of popular "fast cars and explosions" movies during the '80s.

* EDIT:
I take that back: he's credited as Gary Lockwood's stunt double in "Where No Man Has Gone Before".

Needham shows up in as an actor in a lot of the early 60s westerns I've been watching lately. In the Have Gun ep above, he gets shotgunned and does a nice backward slam into the scenery.

He was billed as "Harold Needham" on the Have Gun... I watched this morning. Got yanked off a horse and thrown into another guy. Nice stunt!

Looks like he received same billing on several of his earlier appearances on that series. Maybe because that was the legal full name from his SAG membership or casting agent's records?

Needham directed Stroker Ace (1983) produced by Laurel Goodwin's husband Walter Wood. According to sources, Goodwin herself was a producer, although I couldn't find her name in any of the credits.

Percy Rodriguez showed up as a police lieutenant in 1969 The Name of the Game episode "A Hard Case of the Blues."

Also in a small role was Bill Quinn, who played McCoy's father in ST:V

Phillip Pine with a mirror universe beard, as a scheming convict in the Name of the Game episode "Breakout to a Fast Buck."
