I know that Whit Bissell has been mentioned as appearing in "The Time Machine". It's currently airing on MoviesTV and I noticed a funny little background detail . . . When George stops off in 1966 shortly before the atomic war and the population is being herded into the underground shelter, the police officers are wearing the uniforms from "Forbidden Planet". The dates fit, "Forbidden Planet" was in 1956, and "The Time Machine" was in 1960. The wardrobe department must have pulled them out of storage.
