Did Ted Knight do voice-over on a TOS or TAS episode?Do voice over actors count in 'Surprising Roles'?. If so, there's a young Ted Knight as a bank manager involved in a scheme to rob his bank on this morning's episode of 'Peter Gunn'.

Did Ted Knight do voice-over on a TOS or TAS episode?
(Whipping out my new reference book, Star Trek: The Official Guide to The Animated Series) Yes, he voiced faux Carter Winston/Vendorian in TAS The Survivor. According to a passage in the book:TAS "The Survivor," uncredited.
Knight, best known for his role as Ted Baxter on The Mary Tyler Moore Show, was a longtime friend of Filmation founder and TAS producer Lou Schemer, and received no on-screen credit for his portrayal of Carter Winston in "The Survivor." It is believed the actor donated his time as a favor to Schemer, as the producer often called on Knight to voice a role in a number of Filmation productions.
Lou Antonio's in it, too...in face, he got fourth billing.I'm probably one of the few people left who has never seen 'Cool Hand Luke', and it's airing right now on the 'Movies' network and there's Morgan Woodward as the man in the glasses. Doesn't say a word, but you can tell it's him.
Well, the subject here has been TOS, but I guess TAS falls under the umbrella given the forum focus.Do voice over actors count in 'Surprising Roles'?. If so, there's a young Ted Knight as a bank manager involved in a scheme to rob his bank on this morning's episode of 'Peter Gunn'.
A. He was too busy. But for some reason, after '73 he has no more Filmation credits except one live-action appearance in The Ghost Busters in '75.
His role as the vain and untalented WJM newscaster Ted Baxter on The Mary Tyler Moore Show brought Knight widespread recognition and his greatest success. He received six Emmy Award nominations for the role, winning the Emmy for "Outstanding Performance by an Actor in a Supporting Role in Comedy" in 1973 and 1976.
A. He was too busy.
B. He was too expensive.
He was doing Mary Tyler Moore at that point, one of the most popular shows on American television.Or he'd retired by then?
