Trek guest actors in maybe surprising roles

Ah, Helen Hayes' boy. He got around in the '60s. Several Disney films, as I recall. Too bad he never made it onto Star Trek.

He could have played one of Kirk's old shipmates from other vessels he'd served on while Jack Lord could have been a space station Commodore with his granite features and dark hair!

Caught the tail end of a movie on Comet TV called King Cobra and there was Joseph Ruskin playing a scientist alongside snake wrangler Pat Morita

Ken Lynch was in I Married A Monster From Outer Space(1958) as the Doctor and the only person that the heroine told about her plight who wasn't already an alien!

William Windom had an uncredited cameo in "Planes Trains, and Automobiles" as an executive of (I think) a cosmetics company who spent waaaay too much time looking over ad layouts. A short role but hilarious.
Window also played a “disturbed “ man in a Barney Miller episode and had dynamite strapped to himself and was going to blow up the precinct. I kept waiting for him to say, “Don’t you think I know that?... It was, but not anymore!!” But he didn’t...

William Windom was also Ted Adrian in the Police woman episode, The Beautiful Die Young! Apparently he did another one but I haven't seen that one yet! :D

In some sort of a half-baked love triangle subplot with Bradford Dillman and Ed from Ironside:

(12 O'Clock High, "Twenty-Fifth Mission," Feb. 14, 1966)

In an unusual relationship with a seemingly cold and emotionless officer:

12 O'Clock High, "The Survivor" (Feb. 21, 1966). Series regular Frank Overton was in the episode, but I didn't catch them on-camera together.

Frank Overton was in The Invaders episode, Genesis, along with William Sargent, Dallas Mitchell, Phil Pine and Jonathan Lippe! Bill Erwin from TNG also made an appearance in the show!

Malachai Throne as an unscrupulous land developer on Saturday morning's episode of Tarzan on H&I. No screen grab, but just picture him in a Safari outfit and you got it. Even more interesting was the rest of the guest cast - James Earl Jones as an African prince, and a trio of missionary nuns played by Diana Ross and the Supremes!!

Anyone mentioned William Campbell (Koloth) on Bonanza as an assassin hired to kill Ben Cartwright? He presented himself to the ones looking to hire a killer as a hardware salesman complete with a catalog of items. But he also presented them with another "catalog" which was a collection of newspaper clippings about the unsolved murders of various public officials across the United States.

R. Montalban on The Virginian season 1, "The Big Deal," 1962. You didn't see him with that hairline too often.

Ricardo Montalban was in a lot of westerns. The Virginian, High Chaparral, Daniel Boone and of course Bonanza. Most of these more than once. His ethnic background, complexion and distinctive voice made him a favorite to play foreign and American Indian characters.

Marianna Hill in the Harry O TV movie, 1973. She was David Janssen's love interest but wasn't in the series.
