Hey I just noticed a few incredible things, lex luthors father in Smallville appears in the DS9 episode Invasive Procedures. Also commander Shelby re-appears as the leader of those aliens who wear those ridiculous suits in that episode where picard and crusher can hear each others thoughts. She also plays a cardassian who built DS9. Tim Russ/Tuvok appears in a Fresh Prince episode as an FBI agent investigating the whereabouts of a radical who stays with them temporarily. Also the 80s guys in Short Circuit 2 appears as the psychotic clown in that VOY episode. He also appears as a government official who swaps bodies with Mulder in an X-Files episode.
A whole load of wrong on the Cmdr Shelby thing. The actress, Elizabeth Dennehy, never reappeared in any Star Trek.
The "Short Circuit 2 80s guy" is Michael McKean, most famous for "Spinal Tap" but my fave role of his was Mr. Green in "Clue".
I'll add some more trivia on random Trek guests as well then!:
Christopher Collins, who played the Klingon Captain in "A Matter Of Honour", and the lead Pakled in "Samaritan Snare" (as well as a couple of smaller roles on DS9) was also a voice actor and played Starscream, Wheeljack and Sparkplug in the original 1980s "Transformers" cartoon. He was also on GI Joe.
Michael Bell (Groppler Zorn in "Encounter At Farpoint", as well as a DS9 ep as a Bajoran) was also a voice actor and appeared as Prowl, Swoop and Bombshell in "Transformers" (as well as numerous other TFs) as well as GI Joe and Rugrats.
Leonard Nimoy of course, voiced Galvatron in Transformers: The Movie (1986). He's married to an actress called Susan Bay (who appeared as an Admiral in DS9's "Past Prologue"), who is related to director Michael Bay, who made the two recent live-action Transformers movies. Leonard even lobbied Michael to play the voice of another Transformer in May, but by then it was too close to the "Revenge Of The Fallen" premiere date.
Yep, you guessed it. I'm a Transformers fan as well as a Trek fan
