between ENT and TOS era saladinesque ship, but with very high upper deflector instead of blocking the nacelle frontage (not that it matters really).

was originally going to do the underside of the first ship, but i got distracted...

and spiked bussards are cool!

The perspective on your art is absolutely messed up, to the point some of the designs must incorporate four dimensional math to exist in the real world.

But the actual rendering aside? These are extremely creative and aesthetically pleasing designs which push a few envelopes like Atolm or my friend Jeffs work. I especially love the delightful compactness of the Seleya with a unified hull and disassembled nacelles. Beautiful!

I don't think it's soo bad. Couldn't see anything obviously wrong with the first two.

The nacelle on the third one *does* look off, but based on the elevation I'm not so sure it actually is.

However you slice it or observe spacial geometry, they're still quite tasty to look at.

I have found that even the most prcisely drawn and carefully matched orthographic layouts are riddled with errors when I come to turn them into 3D models. These may not display any great technical precision, but they are nicely rendered and get the idea across wonderfully.

Thats what I like the most, the ideas that are on display here. There are some lovely styling cues and fresh takes on old ideas. For me they're like concept cars, not something you put into production as they're a bit too whacky but something pointing the way and which you nick bits off for your next model.

you'll have to wait til the weekend. university projects getting in the way :P

Are you planning to do some other views of the designs? I'd be interesting in seeing more of each. :)

I'm not dead, just been epically busy. and a uni course that involves loads of drawing saps the fun from it a bit.

vaguely defiant-ish sort of ship. wanted it to look like it'd fit in with star trek online ships for a change. it sort of reminds me of something but i can't remember what..

bad photoshoppery of the reds and blues and doing writing in a curved perspective is hassle.

also i like topside deflectors. no idea why.

I'm guessing this ship has no turbolifts?

well i wouldn't think so, but the defiant did and that was pretty small, so who knows. i doubt i'll be doing deck plans

Well, see, if there are no turbolifts, when someone asks how to get to the Bridge, you tell them, "climb the steps, Jim... Climb the steps of Starship Seleya."

BADOOM-CHEE!!!

All ships need a captain, so i present Captain Meldrick:

Based on my star trek online character that hasnt been used in months and may no longer exist after my computer played up. His ship was called uss Hotspur. Internet points for knowing where the names came from.

fancied a change from ships. people are tricky to draw. especially blue ones. i was going for a look of mild annoyance, like you might have if forced to babysit a tedious ambassador. also a floating breathing apparatus seemed like a cool idea

(try to ignore the horrible background)
