Trek actor on The Soup

Kirby

Rear Admiral
Rear Admiral
I was watching The Soup on E last night and Marlee Matlin had a bad night on Dancing with the Stars so she called in Henry Winkler to give her a pep talk. So Fonzie comes out and gives her this idiotic speech about how great she is.

It kicks back to The Soup host Joel and he says that he calls in an inspirational actor when he's having a bad night. "It's Star Trek's Mr. Chekov, Walter Koenig!"
Koenig walks out and says "you suck! Where's my check?"

Yeah it was kind of a lame bit, but good to see Walter again.

What Hollywood guy worth his salt isn't a nuBSG fan at this point? Even the notoriously critical San Francisco Chronicle TV guy, Tim Goodman, is an unabashed nuBSG fan.

Actually, I thought that Walter Koenig was pretty funny in the 30 seconds he was on air. Kudos to him!

That would explain the ratings, the only ones watching are Hollywood guys... heheh! :vulcan:

I always enjoyed reading Goodman's reviews because his preferences weren't completely predictable. He'd trash a lot of things -- mostly deservedly so -- but you could never tell what he'd end up liking to the point of near-fanaticism (The Tick and Farscape were a couple of these, if I remember rightly.) The Wearing of the Cranky Pants and the fact that he was funny as hell in his own snarky way certainly didn't hurt.

I thought it was hilarious, being a big B5 fan too, and having enjoyed seeing him play Bester who would often come up with heavy insults that sounded smart and authoritative, it was funny to have him do that. He sounded like Bester because that's his natural voice.
