Transwarp is dumb

Transwarp is stupid. infinite warp speeds sound better. like warp 9.9990 or warp 9.9999990. i am GLAD DS9 mentions NOTHING of transwarp. DS9 takes place before VOY timeline correct?

being "everywhere" then turning into a giant salamander and "evolving" is....:rommie:

^

DS9 & VOY occur durin' the same time period.

And transwarp engines for Starfleet ships was an idea first introduced in the TOS movies, with the USS Excelsior in STIII: The Search for Spock.

new warp scale is brilliant with warp 10 being transwarp and infinite warps speeds by adding another 9.

if the borg can transwarp... why not transwrp to DS9 and assimilate it? :borg::borg::borg:

lol...hahahahaa... the borg have millions of ships. and 100's of thousands of tact cubes, and.. lets not forget they can time travel. so why not time travel to 30th century borg tech and assimilate everything in existence? then assimilate fluidic space, as well as our mirror universe...

Are you daft man? The Borg can't just show up at Deep Space Nine and attempt to assimilate everyone. Sisko would unleash his unstoppable holy wrath upon them and then....

 You thought Janeway was rough on them.

I don't mind transwarp as a catch-all phrase for any propulsion system more advanced than warp drive. There's always something better out there.

Of course, DS9 got around this by having a miraculously stable wormhole created by godlike aliens--but at least no one was turned into salamanders after traveling through it...

Me neither. I was always under the impression that the Excelsior's transwarp drive and the Borg's transwarp conduits are two totally different things, even though they share the same name. Of course, having no clue as to how either of them work, that's all speculation on my part.

yeah, transwarp was totally key to the plot of ds9. who could forget the time sisko and kira transwarped a runabout and they turned into possums.

^Ah, yes...Odo's reaction was priceless. I especially liked the part where Quark tried to sell them and Possum Kira bit him.

Why is transwarp dumb? The writers of Threshold should have got the sack for such garbage, But the idea to me is cool. It would mean that the Federation could travel to the far Alpha Quadrant, the Gamma Quadrant or the Delta Quadrant with ease. Maybe even other galaxies lol..

I love it too, but I'm not your sister.

The twist at the end where Sisko, Dax (the real one), Kira, and Bashir all die is just the greatest!
